Paice Presents Impington Parish Council With Quality Status
South East Cambridgeshire MP Jim Paice will officially present Impington Parish Council with a ‘Quality Council’ certificate on Friday 7 July after the Council exceeded required standards in a range of statutory duties.
The award puts Impington in an elite group of just five Quality Councils in South Cambridgeshire (out of over 100 Parishes), and one of just 3% of Parish Councils countrywide having achieved Quality Status.
Mr Paice said: “I am delighted that the high standards of service provided by Impington Parish Council have been recognised by this award. To be among the top 3% of parish councils in the country is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work of staff.”
Denis Payne, Chairman of Impington Village Council, said: “This award recognises the work that the Council does, and the tremendous efforts put in by our staff. We passed the assessment first time - which gives us confidence that we are doing the right things in the right way. We now know that we have a strong foundation from which to move on to the next level of working with residents to improve service delivery in Impington.”
